Spring Branch Medical Center has announced a reorganization to better serve the people of the Spring Branch community
"We have undertaken an organizational assessment which has resulted in a plan which we believe will allow us to continue to provide high quality services through a leaner and more efficient operation," says Mr. Marty McVey, Chairman of Spring Branch Medical Center.
Houston, Texas 3/29/2012 - Spring Branch Medical Center has announced a reorganization of service offerings following a comprehensive review and analysis of its patient population and needs of the community.
This reorganization will involve the realignment of certain specific services. With immediate effect Spring Branch Medical Center will suspend all surgery and inpatient care while focusing on key outpatient services.
As part this realignment there will be some reduction of staff. Christopher Ashby, the hospital's chief financial officer, says “the restructuring effort will decrease resources for some functions and positions and focus on other areas. Those staff members who are affected will be provided outplacement packages.”
"This reduction is, in no way, related to job performance," Ashby says. "It is a result of changing rules and policies, especially involving cost constraints and reimbursement rates from government and private insurance providers. In the light of these we have realigned our vital functions and accordingly the number of positions these require."
Spring Branch Medical Center remains dedicated to providing cost effective, relevant medical service to this community and the people of Houston." “Spring Branch Medical Center has been one of cornerstones of this community for generations and this reorganization will ensure we are here for new generations to come.” Said Mr. Marty McVey.
The families of Spring Branch and surrounding communities have come to know the Medical Center for outstanding service and genuine caring. However, what truly differentiates our service offerings in the Houston area is our “boutique-style” patient experience, which will continue following this reorganization.
